You Are Just Dirty Laundry – An Ego Check for Day 30 🧺😤
We get a little clean time, and suddenly we think we’re better than everyone else. We start judging the people who are still struggling. We think we’ve "arrived."
Proverbs 30:12 (MSG) serves us a slice of humble pie: "Don’t think you’re so high and mighty! You’re nothing but a lot of dirty laundry."
Recovery isn't about how great you are. It's about how merciful God is. You didn't clean yourself. You are just a pile of dirty laundry that got washed by Grace. Never look down on someone God is still working on.
Today on Day 30, we are reading Proverbs 30. We’re talking about the "Gimme" leech, the prayer of "enough," and why you need to clamp your hand over your mouth.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Sweet Spot: Why asking God for "neither poverty nor riches" is the smartest prayer an addict can pray (v. 8).
✅ The Leech: Meet the twin daughters named "Gimme" and "Gimme More"—the perfect picture of addiction (v. 15).
✅ Cause & Effect: Why "churning anger" always leads to a fight and why you need to shut your mouth (v. 33).
Stay humble or stumble.

Why You Keep Stumbling – The Power of Vision (Proverbs 29) 👓🛑
You aren't clumsy. You're just blind. We wonder why we keep falling into the same holes, tripping over the same habits, and relapsing into the same mess.
Proverbs 29:18 (MSG) gives us the diagnosis: "If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves."
You don't stumble because the road is hard. You stumble because you aren't looking up. You have no vision. If you don't have a picture of a future worth staying sober for, you will always trip over your past.
Today on Day 29, we are walking through Proverbs 29. We’re talking about the danger of stubbornness, emotional control, and the necessity of vision.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Breaking Point: Why people who "hate discipline" eventually break beyond repair—and why it happens suddenly (v. 1).
✅ Venting is for Fools: Why "letting it all hang out" isn't brave, it's foolish. Wise people settle it down (v. 11).
✅ The Vision Cure: Why the only way to stop stumbling is to see what God is doing in your life (v. 18).
Stop looking at your feet and start looking at the horizon.

You Can't Whitewash The Dirt – Why Secrets Keep Us Sick (Proverbs 28) 🎨🚫
We tried to cover it up. We tried to look good on the outside while we were rotting on the inside. We thought if we just painted over the mess, nobody would notice.
But Proverbs 28:13 (MSG) gives us the hard truth: "You can’t whitewash your sins and get by with it; you find mercy by admitting and leaving them."
"Whitewashing" is just painting over the dirt. It looks clean for a minute, but the mold is still growing underneath. To get well, you have to stop painting and start confessing. You have to admit it to quit it.
Today on Day 28, we are walking through Proverbs 28. We’re talking about the paranoia of guilt and the freedom of honesty.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Rearview Mirror: Why "the wicked run even when no one is chasing" and how to finally stop living in fear (v. 1).
✅ The Whitewash Trap: Why hiding your secrets prevents you from finding mercy (v. 13).
✅ The Fool in the Mirror: Why trusting your own "know-it-all" brain is a guaranteed way to fail (v. 26).
If you are tired of carrying the bucket of paint, put it down and get free.

The Hole That Never Fills – Starving the "More Monster" (Proverbs 27) 🕳️🚫
We all know that feeling. The hunger that doesn't go away. The voice that whispers, "Just one more." One more drink. One more drug. One more hit. One more hustle. Proverbs 27:20 (MSG) diagnoses this condition perfectly: "Hell has a big appetite and can never have enough, and human eyes are never satisfied." If you are trying to fill a spiritual hole with a physical substance, you are pouring water into a bucket with no bottom. The "More Monster" will eat until you are dead. Recovery is realizing that you can't fill the hole—you have to heal it.
Today on Day 27, we are walking through Proverbs 27. We’re talking about the unfillable void, the value of painful truth, and the friction of friendship.
In this video, we cover:
✅ Faithful Wounds: Why "the wounds from a lover are faithful" and why you need friends who will hurt your feelings to save your life (v. 6).
✅ Sparks Fly: Why "steel sharpens steel" and why you can't get sharp without a little friction (v. 17).
✅ The Bottomless Pit: Why human eyes are never satisfied and how to finally stop feeding the monster (v. 20). If you are tired of being hungry, come find some real food.

The Dog & The Vomit – Why Do We Recycle Our Pain? (Proverbs 26) 🐕🤢
It is the grossest verse in the Bible, but let's be honest—it's also the most accurate. Proverbs 26:11 (MSG) says: "As a dog eats its own vomit, so fools recycle their silliness." In active addiction, we were stuck in the "vomit loop." We knew the substance was making us sick. We knew the lifestyle was killing us. But we kept going back to it, hoping for a different result. We were recycling our own destruction.
Today on Day 26, we are walking through Proverbs 26. We’re diagnosing the relapse loop, talking about drama addiction, and learning how to put out fires.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Vomit Loop: Why we return to the thing that broke us and how to finally walk away (v. 11).
✅ The Mad Dog: Why getting involved in other people's drama is like "grabbing a mad dog by the ears" (v. 17).
✅ No Wood, No Fire: The simple formula for killing gossip in your friend group (v. 20). If you are tired of recycling the same old mistakes, it's time to break the cycle.

Got Haters? Kill Them With Lunch. (Proverbs 25) 🥪🔥
We love a good grudge. When someone comes at us, our addict brain wants to fight back. We want revenge. But Proverbs 25:21 (MSG) gives us a strategy that is way more effective than a fistfight: "If you see your enemy hungry, go buy him lunch."
It sounds crazy, right? Why would I feed the person who hurt me? Because kindness is a weapon. Verse 22 says it heaps "burning coals" on their head. It confuses them. It disarms them. It keeps your side of the street clean.
Today on Day 25, we are walking through Proverbs 25. We’re talking about handling enemies, moderation, and building boundaries.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Honey Trap: Why "eating too much honey" makes you sick—the perfect metaphor for addiction (v. 16).
✅ The Hater Strategy: Why buying your enemy lunch is the ultimate power move (v. 21).
✅ Broken Walls: Why a person without self-control is like a house with the doors knocked out (v. 28).
If you are tired of fighting, maybe it's time to try lunch.

Fall Seven, Rise Eight – The Definition of a Winner (Proverbs 24) 🥊🆙
We think failure is the end. We think if we slip, stumble, or relapse, we are disqualified. But Proverbs 24:16 (MSG) gives us a different definition of success: "No matter how many times you trip them up, God-loyal people don’t stay down long; Soon they’re up on their feet."
The difference between a winner and a loser isn't that the winner never falls. It's that the winner never stays down.
Today on Day 24, we are walking through Proverbs 24. We’re talking about resilience, crisis management, and why complacency kills.
In this video, we cover:
✅ Crisis Check: Why falling to pieces in a crisis proves your foundation was weak—and how to strengthen it (v. 10).
✅ The Bounce: Why the righteous fall seven times and rise eight, and why your mistake doesn't have to be your funeral (v. 16).
✅ The Weed Garden: How "a little sleep, a little slumber" turns your life into a field of thorns (v. 33).
If you are on the ground today, this is your sign to get back up.

It Bites Like a Cobra – The Truth About the "Smooth" Life (Proverbs 23) 🐍🚫
We thought it was our friend. We thought it was our medicine. But Proverbs 23 exposes the predator hiding in the bottle.
Proverbs 23:32 (MSG) gives us the warning we ignored for too long: "In the end it bites like a snake; it strikes like a cobra." It starts smooth. It sparkles. It promises relief. But the end result is always venom. If you kept a cobra in your living room, you wouldn't be surprised when it bit you—so why are we surprised when alcohol destroys our life?
Today on Day 23, we are reading the most famous addiction verses in the Bible. We’re diagnosing the insanity loop and learning how to spot the fangs before they strike.
In this video, we cover:
✅ Don't Envy the Rebel: Why the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is a lie and why you shouldn't envy those "careless rebels" (v. 17).
✅ Buy Truth: Why truth is the most expensive thing you will ever buy, and why you must never sell it again (v. 23).
✅ The Crow's Nest: The perfect description of addiction insanity—sleeping on top of a mast in a storm and waking up asking for more (v. 34-35).
If you are done playing with snakes, it's time to get the antidote.
