The Shortcut is a Trap – Why "Hurry" is Hurting You (Proverbs 21) 🚧🛑
We live in an Amazon Prime world. We want the new life delivered by tomorrow afternoon. But in recovery, the shortcut is almost always a trap door.
Proverbs 21:5 (MSG) gives us the reality check we ignored for years: "Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind." Notice the guarantee: It doesn't say rushing might hurt you. It says it puts you further behind. If you rush the process, you rush the relapse.
Today on Day 21, we are walking through Proverbs 21 front-to-back. We’re diagnosing why we chase quick fixes and how to finally build something that lasts. In this video, we cover:
✅ The Hurry Trap: Why you can't microwave character and why "hurry and scurry" is a recipe for disaster (v. 5).
✅ Thrill Addiction: Why The Message says, "You’re addicted to thrills? What an empty life!" and how to stop chasing the high (v. 17).
✅ The Battle Plan: Understanding that you have to do your best to prepare, but you must "trust God to bring the victory" (v. 31).
If you are tired of starting over because you tried to skip the steps, it's time to stop looking for the hack and start doing the work.

Stop Sleeping Through Your Miracle | Proverbs 20
You can’t harvest a crop you didn’t plant. 🌱🚫 We all want the miracle. We want the restored marriage, the steady job, and the peace of mind. But Proverbs 20 hits us with a tough question today: Are you willing to plow in the winter?
Verse 4 says: "A farmer who is too lazy to plant in the spring has nothing to harvest in the fall." Recovery is work. It’s uncomfortable. Sometimes it’s cold and messy. But if you keep hitting the snooze button on the work, you are sleeping right through your miracle.
The miracle isn't magic; it's the result of doing the next right thing, day after day, even when you don't feel like it. Wake up. Get up. Your life is waiting.
👇 Tell me: What is one small step you are taking today to "plant seeds" for your future?

Better To Be Real Than Rich | Proverbs 19
I’d rather be broke and honest than rich and fake. 💯
Man, do you remember how exhausting it was to keep the story straight? In active addiction, we worked overtime just to manage the lies. We chased the money and the image, but we were spiritually bankrupt.
Proverbs 19 hits us with a reality check today: "Better to be poor and have integrity than to be rich and perverse."
Recovery isn't just about putting down the drink or the drug; it's about putting down the mask. It’s about being the same person in the dark as you are in the light.
And here is the kicker from Verse 3: Stop ruining your own life and blaming God for it. 🛑 The "Blame Game" ends today.
We are diving deep into Day 19 of "A Proverb A Day Keeps The Police Away."
👇 Watch the video and tell me: Are you done with the blame game? Drop a 🛑 in the comments if you're taking ownership today!

Death By Tongue: Poison or Fruit? | Proverbs 18

Death By Tongue – Poison or Fruit? (Proverbs 18) ☠️🍎
You have a weapon in your mouth. It can either save a life or commit a murder.
Proverbs 18:21 in The Message translation puts it harder than any other version:
"Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose."
Most of us in active addiction served poison for years. We poisoned our families with lies, poisoned our potential with negativity, and poisoned ourselves with excuses.
Today on Day 18, we are reading through Proverbs 18 to find out how to change the menu.
In this video, we’re breaking down:
✅ The Loner's Curse: Why living only for yourself is a "huge mistake" that goes against common sense (v. 1).
✅ The Courtroom Trap: Why you should never believe the first story you hear until the cross-examination starts (v. 17).
✅ Poison or Fruit: How to stop eating the death that comes out of your own mouth (v. 21).
You have to eat your own words. Make sure they aren't poisonous.

The Floodgate Effect – Drop It Before You Drown (Proverbs 17) 🌊🛑
Starting a fight is easy. Stopping one is impossible.
Proverbs 17:14 says: "Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out."
Once that water starts rushing, you can't put it back. You can't un-say those words. You can't un-throw that punch. You just drown.
Today on Day 17, we are reading through Proverbs 17 to learn the art of "Flood Control." We’re talking about why walking away isn't weakness—it's the only way to survive.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Floodgate Effect: Why you have to stop the argument before it starts (v. 14).
✅ Better Broke & Sober: Why a dry crust with peace is better than a mansion with drama (v. 1).
✅ The Genius of Shutting Up: How to look wise even if you don't know what you're doing (v. 28).
If you are tired of drowning in drama, this is the lifeline you need.

Pride Before The Handcuffs – The Ego Trap (Proverbs 16) 🚔🚨
The three most dangerous words in recovery are: "I got this."
As soon as you think you "got this," you are in trouble. That is the Ego talking. And Proverbs 16:18 tells us exactly what happens next:
"Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall."
Destruction doesn't just show up out of nowhere. Pride is the usher that opens the door for it. Today on Day 16, we are reading through Proverbs 16 and diagnosing the Ego Trap before it snaps shut.
In this video, we’re breaking down:
✅ Man Plans, God Laughs: Why your "great ideas" usually end in disaster when you don't let God establish the steps (v. 9).
✅ The Ego Trap: How arrogance is actually a prophecy of coming destruction (v. 18).
✅ The Real Tough Guy: Why the man who can control his temper is stronger than the man who can win a fight (v. 32).
Don't wait for the crash to humble you. Humble yourself today.

The De-Escalation Hack – How A Soft Answer Saves You (Proverbs 15) 🧯👮♂️
If I could give you one tool that would keep you out of handcuffs, save your marriage, and keep you employed—would you want it?
It’s called De-Escalation.
Most of us in recovery are experts at escalation. We know how to throw gas on a fire. If someone steps up, we step up harder. But Proverbs 15:1 gives us the water: "A soft answer turns away wrath."
Today on Day 15, we are reading through Proverbs 15 to learn the ultimate life hack for dealing with angry people without losing your cool.
In this video, we cover:
✅ The Soft Answer Shield: Why lowering your voice is actually a power move, not a weakness (v. 1).
✅ The Lone Wolf Trap: Why your plans keep failing (Hint: You didn't ask for advice) (v. 22).
✅ The Path to Promotion: Why you can't have the honor until you master the humility (v. 33).
Stop throwing gas on the fire. Learn to put it out.

Trust Your Gut? Why Your Instincts Are Trying To Kill You (Proverbs 14) 🧭☠️
Society loves to tell you: "Just trust your gut." "Follow your heart." "Do what feels right."
In recovery, that is terrible advice.
Proverbs 14:12 warns us: "There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death."
My "gut" told me to isolate. My "heart" told me I could handle one more time. My "instincts" led me straight into a jail cell. Today on Day 14, we are reading through Proverbs 14 and destroying the myth of intuition.
In this video, we’re breaking down:
✅ The Myth of Intuition: Why the road to death often looks like a shortcut to happiness (v. 12).
✅ Embrace the Mess: Why a clean stable means an empty life (v. 4).
✅ Hotheaded & Handcuffed: Why a quick temper is just a billboard for your own foolishness (v. 29).
If you are ready to stop trusting your feelings and start trusting the Truth, this one is for you.
